Die-hard boxing fans treated to six adrenalin-filled fights.

Golden Gloves, in association with Chesanyama and Emperors Palace, presented the Palace Storm Box and Dine event, recently.

Die-hard boxing fans were treated to six adrenalin-filled fights.

Energy, accurate throws and upper cuts were, seemingly, the order of the night as those elements were among the common things in all the bouts.

All the fighters showed determination and displayed great boxing skills.

Full fightcard results are:

  •  Junior Welterweight – four rounds: Luyanda Jako vs Marcus Lebogo. The judges scored 38-38; 39-37; 38-38 making it the first draw of the night.
  •  Welterweight – four rounds: Onke Duku vs Duran Ray. Second draw of the night with the judges scoring 39-37; 38-38; 37-39.
  •  Junior Lightweight – eight rounds: Sydney Maluleka vs Ashley Dlamini. Bout won by Dlamini by unanimous point’s decision, the judges scored 74-78; 75-77 and 73-79 in favour of Dlamini.
  •  Middleweight – six rounds: Tebogo Malose vs Page Tshewane. Won by Tshewane by unanimous points decision, the judges scored 55-59; 54-16 and 55-59 in favour of Tshewane.
  •  International Junior Lightweight – 10 rounds: Justin Savi (Benin) vs Malcolm Klaasen (South Africa). Klassen won with a TKO in one minute and 26 seconds in the fourth round.
  •  WBC Youth Cruiserweight silver belt – 10 rounds: Gogita Gorgiladze (Georgia) vs Kevin Lerena (South Africa). Lerena won with a Technical Knockout (TKO) in one minute and 49 seconds in the third round.
