Namibia is coming

Namibian athletes join Fightstar 9.

The exciting Fightstar 9 welcomes Namibian athletes once again, this time seeing three of their skilled amateurs competing on the same night.

Fightstar is scheduled to take place on October 25, at St John’s Hellenic Hall, corner of Lobeilia and Wychwood roads.

Though Josemare Octavio’s fight is yet to be announced, his previous fight, at Fightstar 8, was action-packed from beginning to end, after Octavio took victory via technical knockout (TKO) in the first round, over JP Maree.

Armano Steyn faces off against Ettiene Jacobs on the main card of the night.

Both have fought at Fightstar before and both have showcased extreme skill in the cage. At Fightstar 9, these middleweight athletes will be competing to decide who will get a shot at fighting for the number one contender position at FightStar 10.

Iris Rodrigues faces off against Shana Power, bringing the women back to the cage.

Fightstar matchmaker Grant Oliff has already expressed his support for women’s mixed martial arts (MMA) and said that Fightstar is in full support of helping the women’s division grow by putting on women fights whenever possible.
