Community share their thoughts on Laticia Jansen’s alleged rape and murder.

Lwandle Duma: “I believe the suspects come from the area where the body was found. This area is becoming dangerous for children and women. I believe the drug and crime issues are related to this murder. If we stop them we will prevent more deaths.”

Cindy Fritz: “This is tragic, it could be my child, your child, anyone’s child. It shouldn’t matter the race. How can you do this to a child and sleep at night. There is no law in the country.”

Prince Rulashe: “I am extremely sad and angry. As a parent, I know you will never find closure when a child dies in this way.”

Jaikie Roberts: “I think the whole situation is very bad, and we don’t need it in our society. I have grandchildren of my own and the news was really heartbreaking and upsetting.”

Jane Sibiya: “This is heartbreaking, there are no words that can express the shock. For a child to be that eager to go to school and for this to happen is tragic.”
