Present in troubles, neglected in celebrations

Victims of horrendous crime thank all for helping.

Driekie Smith, Sunnyrock writes:

I shared a story with the GCN that was published on Wednesday, January 31, ‘Couple celebrates life and love’, and I failed to mention a few other people who assisted us when the incident occurred on December 16, 2017.

On the day of the celebration (January 20) some of them were not present due to other responsibilities and they were not in the photograph that was taken.

I apologise for unintentionally not mentioning the names of everybody who assisted in the emergency.

I thank Netcare paramedic Daine Koekemoer, Zunaid a resident of Sunnyrock, Paul Giovanni, a friend and also resident of Sunnyrock, as well as my brother-in-law Attie Smith and his wife Maggie.

I do apologise for any misunderstanding in this regard.
