Thanks to local business for donation to church

Church grateful for donation of cement.

Hermien Kruger, on behalf of AGS Lighuis, writes:

Our church, AGS Lighuis in Witfield, has no fence around the premises.

In the same breath I need to say that there are a few pubs in the same street and then, as the men walk down the street, they put their beer bottles right in front of the church.

They vandalise things around the building and damage the walls as well.

We decided to put a palisade fence around the church because we all want to keep the things we respect neat and protected.

The church approached Peter da Silva, the owner of Silvasons Hardware and Building Supplies in Primrose, for a good price for cement.

Peter decided to donate all the cement – and even more than what we asked for.

We thank Silvasons Hardware for having a good, open heart.
