On April 16 the world had a chance to celebrate “Wear Your Pyjamas To Work Day”.
The day offers hard working people a chance to have some fun and relax the dress code at work.
There was no need to worry about knotting a tie or confining your feet in high heels, instead you could indulge in wearing your softest, cosiest and silliest nightwear, and enjoy the luxurious freedom of lounging while earning your pay cheque.
In light of the approaching cold front this weekend, where it is reported that temperatures will drop into the teens from Friday evening and only return to the mid-twenties from Tuesday, the GCN came up with a clever way to keep warm and comfortable – with “Onesie Appreciation Day”.
The editorial team celebrated the day by snuggling in to some stylish onesies and shared some simple tips on how to stay warm this weekend:
- Warm yourself first – It’s easier to change your body temperature than the room temperature, not to mention more eco-friendly.
- Enjoy a cup of warm coffee, tea, hot chocolate or whatever you prefer.
- Load up on warm blankets and clothing — instead of turning up the heat, put on another layer of clothing.
- Snuggle up in bed or on the coach with your favourite book or TV show.
