Metro still hasn’t refunded Elspark resident

Resident wrongfully charged by metro.

”Upset”, from Elspark, writes:

Two months ago the metro installed new water meters in Sapele Street, in Elspark.

Since the installation I have been wrongfully charged thousands of Rand for water.

I contacted the metro to clear up the matter but still have not been credited for the money I was wrongfully charged.

The GCN contacted the metro about this matter and received the following statement from the senior media officer of the metro’s communications and brand management department, Lebogang Ramashala: “It is herewith confirmed that the relevant correction has been done, and the account record currently reflects that the account is indeed paid in advance.

“The correction will reflect on the resident’s June 2015 account statement.

“The metro sincerely apologises for any inconvenience caused.”
