School principal Moeketsie Kolokoto was ecstatic about the results explaining to the media that the success was due to the commitment of the teachers, learners and the working partnership formed between the school and parents.

“The Representative Council of Learners (RCL) team worked hard to lead by example. Most learners who are in the top five achievers list were part of the RCL. Our deputy president in the RCL achieved three distinctions,” said Kolokoto.

“We dedicate these results to all selfless educators, using their valuable time conducting extra lessons to help learners.

“We also had weekend classes to boost the performance of the learners, the teachers dedicated themselves to teaching and nurturing an African child,” said Kolokoto.

“As a school we faced adversities but against all adds we excelled and outperformed ourselves. I am so proud of what the learners achieved for themselves and for us as a school.

Derrick T. Sibanda obtained one distinction and is looking to do a course in the field of business.

“We wish the learners all the best in the pursuit of careers of their choosing. Dawnview High School is like home, they will always be welcomed here,” said Kolokoto.
