The CoE hosted a Heritage Day event to celebrate and mark the annual national cultural holiday, allowing the diversity of SA cultures to be on public display.
The event at the Hunters Field stadium saw people wear traditional outfits and perform dances associated with their cultures. Basotho men showcased the traditional mohobelo (stomping dance comprising synchronised movements and high kicks) dance, which signifies unity among all ethnic groups in the country, general entertainment and a reminder of the richness of our nation’s cultural heritage.
