Manaleng continued his dominance in the boy’s U16 100m hurdles at the ASA juniors earlier this year.

The Jeppe Boys athlete officially entered his name into the history books at the Central Gauteng Athletics (CGA) provincial track and field championships at Germiston Stadium on March 10 last year when he set a new record in the U16 100m hurdles for boys with a time of 13:58.

The event, which marked Bestmed’s first year as the title sponsor, not only showcased incredible athletic talent, but it also emphasised the deeper values of community and inclusivity.

“Schools such as King Edward VII, Hoërskool Monument, Kempton Park High and Florida High fielded their best athletes, resulting in thrilling competitions across various sporting disciplines,” said Karen Pienaar, sponsorship and CSI specialist at Bestmed Medical Scheme.
