Bertha Gxowa Hospital calls on relatives of deceased

"We urge family members to claim the bodies of their loved ones as pauper’s burials will be arranged should they remain unclaimed,” said Marapyane.

The Bertha Gxowa Hospital is calling on the relatives of several deceased individuals to claim the bodies of their loved ones.

According to hospital communications officer Mampe Marapyane, one of the deceased is an unidentified man, who was picked up by EMS at the Rasta informal settlement in Primrose and admitted to casualty on September 10.

Another, Michael Mathe, born in December 1984 and residing in 201 Zuma Section, Katlehong, was admitted to the hospital’s Medical B unit on September 9 after being brought in by EMS from the Alberton Clinic.

Linda Busakwe, born on June 6, 1957, with no contact details, was also admitted to casualty on September 16 after being transported by EMS from the Dukathole Hostel.

“We urge family members to come forward to claim the bodies of their loved ones,” said Marapyane.

“If unclaimed, pauper’s burials will be arranged.”
