City provides water tankers following Rand Water repairs

“Due to the low water level at the reservoir supplying the affected areas supply will be restored gradually."

Rand Water maintenance at its Palmiet Booster Station has reportedly been completed.

City of Ekurhuleni Spokesperson Zweli Dlamini said the municipality was informed of repair completion on the morning of July 17.

The maintenance affected the water supply to Germiston, Primrose, Bedfordview, Isando, Spartan and Kempton Park.

“Due to the low water level at the reservoir supplying the affected areas water supply will be restored gradually,” said Dlamini.

He said water tankers were deployed to the affected areas.

Three water tankers were dispatched to affected areas in Bedfordview.

Water takers in Germiston are located at:

•Lennox Road, Albermale.

•29 De Beer Road, Union.

•Jacoba Street, Norton Small Farms.

• Dinwiddie Sports Club, Cheam Crescent.

Roving water tankers in Germiston are located at:

•Germiston Ext 9.

• Driehoek.

• Roodekop.

• Delport informal settlement.

• Marathon informal Settlement.

•Stone Arch Shopping Centre, Castleview.

•Howe Circle, Sunnyrock.

•OR Tambo Government Precinct parking, Cross Street, Germiston.

In Kempton Park water tankers can be found at:

• Artisan Skills Centre parking on Maxwell Street.

• Dann Road opposite Maranatha School.

•The Checkers shopping complex at the corner of Geldenhys and Atlas roads.

• Great North Road, Brentwood Park.

•Chicken Licken complex at the corner of Isando, and Brabazon roads.

• Brentwood Shopping Mall at the corner of Main Street and Stanley Road.
