Lucky winner gets new set of wheels at Hazelpark

Excitement and joy filled the air at Pick n Pay Family Hazelpark as finalists came together to determine if they would be the lucky winner of a new VW Polo Vivo 1.4 litre Trendline.
The competition was hosted by Pick n Pay Family Hazelpark and Pick n Pay Family Lambton.
The winner was announced on June 29 at the Hazelpark store.
Thirteen finalists, excited shoppers and staff gathered to see who would drive away with the new car.

Store owner Jacques van Wyk said that to qualify for the competition, shoppers needed to have spent R200 or more.
He said this was the first competition of this kind the store held, with the finalists chosen over 13 weeks.
Each week the qualifying till receipts were placed in the boot of the Polo and a customer, chosen at random, was asked to draw that week’s finalist.
On the day of the giveaway, all 13 finalists were given a key which could or could not open the vehicle,
Starting with number one, the finalists tried their luck until number nine, Audrey Joan’s key fitted in perfectly.
An excited Audrey was announced the winner.
Speaking about why the competition was held, Jacques said it was a way for the store to give back to its customers.

He thanked the competition sponsors, namely Clover. Coca-Cola, Heineken, SAB, Rhodes, Lancewood, Dairymaid, Freshley’s, Futurelife, Magpie, Namaqua, Colgate, Diageo, Redbull, Bakels and Mars.
A raffle was also held for the sponsors.
Jacques encouraged shoppers to follow the store’s Facebook Page and WhatsApp line to keep up to date on weekly specials and exciting communication from the store.
