Fault at Palmiet Pump Station causes water outage in Germiston
The City of Ekurhuleni said water tankers will be deployed to areas that have been affected by this interruption.
The City of Ekurhuleni confirmed that a fault at Rand Water’s Palmiet Pump Station resulted in a water supply interruption to Primrose Reservoir.
This caused a water outage in several areas of Germiston.

Areas affected by the low water levels are Germiston CBD, George Town, Lambton, Elsburg, Dukathole, Germiston East Industrial, Webber, Driehook, Makause, Fishers’ Hill, Tedstoneville, Delport and Marathon.
CoE deployed water tankers.
The estimated supply restoration time is not yet established.
