SAPS urges locals to walk in groups to avoid falling victim to sex crimes

“People are advised to use caution when going to and from work in the early morning and evening hours.

“People are encouraged to go in pairs since it gets darker earlier, to avoid being robbed or attacked by thieves,” said Vispol Commander Phuti Lamola.

“We have received several complaints about sexual offenses in Oak Avenue.

“Although we will monitor and patrol the area, we ask locals to exercise additional caution when approaching strangers,” said Lamola.
