Football club opens registrations for 2024

The club’s vice chairperson, Natalie Hawken, said they were excited to welcome back new and old players.

The Edenvale Football Club began 2024 with back-to-back registrations on January 27 and February 3, with training resuming on January 29.

The club’s vice chairperson, Natalie Hawken, said training for most age groups would start in February and that they were excited to welcome back new and old players.

“We do two open days before we start with training, and anyone who wants to register their child is more than welcome to do so. We are expecting new players to sign up,” she explained.

The club introduced a technical team aimed at enhancing the development of players.

“The technical team will contribute towards improving the skills of our players and providing more support to the coaches. Many coaches in amateur clubs, like ours, are parents who have stepped up to the roles.

“Essentially, we want them to grow and develop,” she added.

She said the technical team would provide additional support tailored to the specific age groups.

“We are a community-driven club, and it’s our premises for the development of players,” said Hawken.
