Police discover drug-manufacturing equipment during a raid at local hotel

Police arrest suspect on charges of dealing in drugs and violating the Firearm Act.

A suspect has been arrested for allegedly dealing in drugs and violating section 102 of the Firearm Act following a raid at one of the rooms at Nicol Hotel.

The operation was carried out by the members of the Bedfordview police, West Rank K9 Narcotics and the OC Narcotics Unit on December 27.

Officers leading the operation arrived at Nicol Hotel with a warrant for search and seizure.

Equipment used to make drugs was seized by police following the arrest of the suspect.

During the search, police discovered a licensed 9mm pistol in plain view.

The firearm was confiscated, which led to the discovery of more firearms in the suspects’ bedroom.

A Browning pistol, shotgun, and rifle were found against the wall as well as a Taurus pistol.

They also discovered a white powder alleged to be drugs, cellphones, laptops and ammunition.

Upon further investigation, the police discovered a lab allegedly to have been used by the suspect to make drugs.

The suspect was arrested and detained at Bedfordview police station.
