Rest-a-While Service Centre hosts annual market day on December 9

Rest-a-While Service Centre of the Aged invites the community to its annual market day on December 9.
The cost of a stall is R100. The proceeds will go towards the centre.
Manager Trudy Carreira stated that it has been challenging for the centre to make ends meet since the Department of Social Development cut funding in April.
“The market promises to be exciting and fun for everyone. Clothing, kitchenware and artwork will be available for purchase, among other items,” said Carreira.

“We ask that anyone with pre-loved clothing, toys, or artwork donate these and get in touch with us at 011 828 3059 or 082 366 4010.
“We need food, gas and financial donations. Non-perishable goods, cereal, oats, sugar, tea and nuts are on our Christmas wish list, to name a few.”
She thanked the Rest-a-While team and sponsors for their work in 2023.
