Celebrating cultural diversity at Bertha Gxowa Hospital on Heritage Day.
The Bertha Gxowa Hospital was a buzz of vibrant colours, music and a sense of unity as staff members commemorated Heritage Day.
This special occasion served as a platform to celebrate the cultural diversity that makes South Africa a rainbow nation and to embrace and appreciate the richness of our cultural differences.
Led by the hospital’s CEO, Lebohang Khumalo, the event recognised the importance of cultural diversity in creating a harmonious and inclusive work environment.
Heritage Day provided an opportunity to showcase and celebrate the diverse backgrounds, traditions, and customs of its staff members.

Khumalo expressed her appreciation to all the departments that invested time and effort in preparing for Heritage Day.
In recognition of their hard work, three departments received vouchers as a token of gratitude.
This gesture acknowledged their contributions and reminded the staff of the value placed on cultural diversity.
“As part of the Heritage Day activities, each department showcased its unique cultural dances and performances.
“The lively performances not only entertained but also educated and enlightened everyone about the diverse traditions within the hospital,” said Mampe Marapyane, Bertha Gxowa Hospital communications officer.
