While progress has been made, several other municipalities in the region are still grappling with water supply challenges.

Parts of Germiston and surrounding areas, which rely on the Russel Roads reservoir and Churchill pump station for their supply, are also experiencing low to no water pressure due to high demand and consumption.

Rand Water is implementing technical interventions to balance the supply across the province.

CoE stated as of 6am this morning, reservoir levels were at 40%, and all other areas in Ekurhuleni are now receiving a steady water supply.

In light of the ongoing efforts to stabilize the water supply, the CoE urges consumers to be mindful of their water usage during the long weekend and spring season to ensure a continuous and sustainable supply for all residents.
