Germiston Probus invites the elderly to join club

Probus is a place where the elderly can enjoy themselves with like-minded people.

Probus Association Germiston is inviting the elderly to join the club.

Probus SA is an association of retired and semi-retired persons who join together in autonomous clubs found around South Africa and throughout the world.

The organisation provides an environment for all retirees to connect and participate in a variety of events.

They cater to the fellowship needs of retired people and provide a social environment where they can mix with like-minded people who, in retirement, appreciate and value opportunities to meet others in similar circumstances.

The club hosts monthly lunch get-togethers with a speaker, monthly fellowship coffee mornings, and outings to places of interest as well as a range of activities throughout the year.

Its emphasis is simple in structure and free from the constraints and obligations of service clubs.

Probus concentrates mainly on networking, having fun and total relaxation.

“If you are feeling in need of friendly company, then Probus is for you. I urge elderly residents in Germiston to join us,” Jenni Lewis from Probus Germiston.

The club meets every Tuesday morning at Majestic Nursery in Lambton at the corner of Webber and Cachet roads.
