Learners visit Elsburg police for career day

“This year we had a large group of aspiring police officers, we then decided to visit the police station to learn about how the hardworking police officers keep us safe in our community.”

The Elsburg SAPS recently hosted a lively and educational career day for children from Beautiful Little Angels Creche and Preschool.

The visit took place on August 21, with the children, dressed in various career uniforms, touring the station under the guidance of their teachers and principal Paidamoyo Charamba.

This year’s visit was inspired by the children’s interest in law enforcement, following a previous career day at Netcare Medicross Hospital, where they explored the medical field.

Charamba expressed the significance of such visits, noting: “This year, with a large group of aspiring police officers, we decided to visit the police station to learn about how our hardworking officers keep us safe.

“The experience provided both teachers and children with a closer look at different career paths, helping the children connect their learning to the real world and discover their interests and passions.”
