Germiston community invited to street fun walk on September 28

The Thami Xala Foundation is inviting the Germiston community and surrounding neighbourhoods to participate in the Rondebult Feet on the Street Fun Run/Walk on September 28 at Rondebult Park.

The event is a fundraiser, with all profits directed towards supporting the underprivileged identified by the foundation.

Established in 2021 by Thami Xala, a Rondebult resident passionate about community service, the foundation focuses on assisting those in need.

Their initiatives include providing food parcels, empowering unemployed youth, women, and fathers, supporting orphanages, and aiding the elderly.

The foundation’s overarching goal is to alleviate poverty and unemployment through youth and women empowerment programmes.

Among its notable projects are annual donations of school shoes and sanitary pads, a monthly feeding scheme, and an annual food parcel donation drive.

The fun run/walk event will kick off at 8:00, with registrations opening at 06:30.

The entry fee is R100 for the 7km route and R70 for the 3.5km route.
