Local police nab three suspects and recover vehicles
Three suspects were arrested between August 21 and August 24 by Benoni flying squad.
Benoni Flying Squad members arrested three suspects and recovered two motor vehicles and one live round of ammunition between August 21 and 24.
On August 22, officers were called to assist a local security company in Impala Park.
A white Toyota Etios was cornered with a 40-year-old suspect. It was flagged by community cameras as wanted in cases regarding thefts of motor vehicles.

The suspect was immediately arrested when two laptops suspected to be stolen, three jamming devices allegedly used to jam vehicle locking remotes, two filed Allen keys capable of breaking vehicle door locks and false registration plates were found in his vehicle.
It is alleged the suspect and vehicle are wanted for numerous burglaries of vehicles around local areas and at the time of arrest could be linked to a Bedfordview case in September 2020 for attempted theft out of a motor vehicle and a Sebenza case for possession of suspected stolen property.
The vehicle was impounded as used in a crime and a full investigation will be done to ascertain if other cases can be linked.
On August 23, a 21-year-old suspect was arrested allegedly in possession of crystal methamphetamine in Germans Road, Brakpan.

Still in Brakpan, a 31-year-old was allegedly found in possession of one live round of 38 special ammunition and arrested immediately.
This arrest follows numerous arrests in the area for homemade guns and ammunition.
In further policing, two abandoned motor vehicles were recovered.
A white Toyota Fortuner was found behind a filling station on Pomona Road, Bredell reportedly stolen on a Kempton Park case and a silver Volkswagen Polo was found in Ivory Park Ext 12 reportedly hijacked on a Brixton case.
Investigation continues in all cases.
The suspects will be appearing in the local magistrate’s courts facing charges of possession of suspected stolen property and vehicle burglary implements, possession of drugs and possession of unlicensed ammunition.
