R25 300 donated to the local SPCA

"There are not enough words to express how grateful we are."

A recent fundraising drive for Edenvale SPCA saw R25 317 donated to the branch after the winner of a raffle organised by Jack Russell Estates donated back his winnings.

The real estate company recently partnered with Boela van der Merwe Attorneys, Hammond Pole, STBB and Yammin Hammond Attorneys to make the fundraiser possible.

With the assistance of the attorney offices, Jack Russel held a raffle draw with the prize of R10 000 up for grabs.

The draw on July 29 for the R10k prize took place at the Dowerglen Spar. The winner, Mike Mihlovic, re-donated the R10 000 to the SPCA, bringing the total to R25 317.

They handed over this amount to the manager of Edenvale SPCA, Marita Acar, on July 31.

Thanking everyone involved, the secretary of the SPCA, Jade de Bruyn said the branch was speechless.

“A massive thank you to Mike for generously donating your winnings back to us. There are not enough words to express how grateful we are,” said Jade.
