St Andrew’s School learner gains insight into tech and more at seminar

Topics covered include the role of women in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics), insights into studying at MIT and more.

St Andrew’s School for Girls congratulated a Grade 12 student, Michela di Petro, who attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Seminar earlier in the year at St John’s College.

The school’s marketer, Brandon Townsend, said this was an incredible opportunity for Michela as there were only 99 spaces available.

“The criteria included the students had to do mathematics and physical sciences as subjects,” he said.
