City ends frustration of locals by filling a hole

CoE apologises for the delay over the hole left in Bradford Road.

The metro finally attended to the gaping hole on the corner of Whittaker Way and Bradford Road on April 24 after three weeks of being exposed following repairs to a water leak.

In an article published on April 26, residents alleged that a pipe burst, leading to water flooding the roads and leaving residents feeling desperate because their appeals for help from the city went unanswered for three weeks

.When it was eventually attended to, a hole was left uncovered causing havoc for motorists and pedestrians.

The metro’s spokesperson, Zweli Dlamini, said that the water and sanitation department team filled the open excavation.
