They took 59 bunnies and 20 Mumpy comfort toys to donate to the children of the home.
Tweak founder, Justine Engelbrecht, said the donations were made possible because of the community’s support and residents supporting its bunny drive.
“The Tweak ladies manufactured all the fabric bunnies from donated fabric and clothing. We gave these bunnies to the babies.”
“We also made 20 Mumpys, which we gave to some of the toddlers, as well as special needs children.”

Claude Bonikay of Door of Hope, said the toys are very important to their babies.
He said when these babies get adopted, this special toy, which is kept in their cots, goes to their new home with them.
He further explained that there was an ongoing need for toys and clothing for the babies at Door of Hope.
“It is such a privilege for us to be a part of blessing these children,” said Justine.
However, she said they could not do this without the support of community members.
To assist more children, Tweak is hoping to find a sponsor that can assist in making more toys for Door of Hope, as well as clothing for the children.

They also hope someone to make uniforms for its 43 staff members and volunteers.
Justine said the women who work in partnership with Tweak Fashion make aprons and uniforms for therapists and cleaners at affordable prices on order.
“It is important to remember that when you support our projects, the Tweak Fashion ladies, who are the beneficiaries of our PBO, earn from each of these projects to put food on their tables.”
The women are currently manufacturing Mumpy for Kraaines Pre-Primary School’s children. We will visit the school on May 11 and on Mandela Day.
