Little Eden celebrates Christmas

Little Eden Society residents took to the stage when they put on their annual Christmas concert.

Hosted at the society’s Elvira Rota Village in Bapsfontein, a full house enjoyed this year’s concert at the end of November.

Themed ‘A Star is Born’, the concert featured many of the 150 residents from the home.

Audience members were treated to performances of dancing, singing, bicycle riding, and a fashion show among others.

Public relations and communications coordinator Gaahele Mokgoro said after a two-year absence due to the pandemic, family, friends and supporters of the NPO came out in their numbers.

CEO of Little Eden, Xelda Rohrbeck, said the residents worked hard and spent many hours practising for the concert to show off their talents and skills learned over the past year.

“Our angels missed the applause, the smiles and the encouragement from the audience during the pandemic.

“We are very proud to showcase the impact of the stimulation programme on the residents and the hard work that our residents and staff have put into the concert,” she added.

Rohrbeck highlighted that Little Eden had celebrated its 55-year milestone in 2022 and thanked all supporters.

She said their continued support and generosity make a great impact on the lives of the 300 children and adults whom Little Eden cares for.
