Several animal carcasses spotted on Comet Street and Main Road raise concerns

Ekurhuleni Waste Department can assist in the removal of an animal carcasses.

Losing a beloved pet can be a tragic experience for families.

Germiston City News has in recent weeks noticed numerous animal carcasses on the side of the roads.

Readers also raised concerns about the smell of decomposition and health.

“If your pet dies at home, your vet will be able to arrange transportation to the crematorium. For this option, you will need to transport the carcass to the vet,” inspectors at the Germiston and Bedfordview SPCA advised.

Incidents of suspected animal poisoning must be reported to the SAPS.
