Edenvale resident Christopher Baxter represented SA at the U23 Rowing World Championships where he and Damien Bonhage- Koen won gold.

In July, Baxter and Bonhage- Koen took to Varese Italy where they excelled in their races.
They placed first in their heat and the semi-finals before winning gold in the men’s pair (BM2) A final in a time of 6:19.99.
Their winning time also set a new world record.
Following their success in Italy, Baxter and Bonhage- Koen competed in the 2022 World Rowing Championships.
The event was hosted in Recice, Czech Republic, from September 18 to 25.
Baxter and Bonhage- Koen have rowed together as a pair since 2016.

As a child, Baxter attended Dunvegan Primary School and then King Edward VII School, where he and Bonhage- Koen started rowing together.
