Police remove illicit items from Ekurhuleni schools

Members of victim empowerment, the CPF and the crime prevention youth desk also joined in the surprise visit to the two Primrose-based schools.

Primrose SAPS, accompanied by Germiston, Alberton and Katlehong North SAPS and other stakeholders, visited Oosterkruin Primary School and Goudrif High School on September 7.

Members of victim empowerment, the CPF and the crime prevention youth desk also joined in the surprise visit to the two Primrose-based schools.

“The visit was about promoting a safer learning environment.

“Learners were searched and, in some cases, illicit objects removed from the school grounds.

“The learners were warned not to bring such objects to school,” said Sergeant Styles Maome, Primrose SAPS communications officer.
