Elsburg police take the lead in fighting Gender Based Violence

The campaign, held on August 11, focused on domestic violence in sector one and two of the Elsburg policing precinct.

The Elsburg SAPS station commander Lieutenant Colonel Sibushi Makgakga and members of the CPF conducted a door-to-door awareness campaign on GBV.

The campaign, held on August 11, focused on domestic violence in sector one and two of the Elsburg policing precinct.

Throughout the awareness, residents were urged to report crime.

Sergeant Daphney Phooko, Elsburg SAPS communication officer, said women were encouraged to break the silence on domestic violence and GBV as these crimes remain a concern for the police.
