Primrose SAPS arrested two suspects for house burglary and theft on June 5 in Maroela Street.

Sergeant Styles Maome, Primrose SAPS spokesperson, said the complainant alleged that he left the house to attend church.
“When he returned, he found the gate open and he proceeded inside and discovered that the main door had been forced open,” he said.

The complainant told police that a laptop, two cellphones and jewellery had been taken.
“The case was opened in June and two suspects were later arrested.”
The Primrose SAPS representatives from the GBV Brigades and members of the Crime Prevention Youth Desk also addressed residents about burglaries and theft of motor vehicles in parts of Wannenburg in Sector Two on June 8.

As part of their safety awareness campaign, they handed over substance abuse and safety tip pamphlets to residents.
Emergency numbers were also provided to residents.
Maome said drug abuse can be a contributing factor to house burglaries and theft.
