Germinston designer donates food parcels

Mosotho Mokoena, a Germiston fashion designer, donated food parcels to Silo Institute of Love in Sebokeng, in Zone 14 recently. Silo offers skills development and counselling to those affected by drugs and gender-based violence.

Mosotho Mokoena, a Germiston fashion designer, donated food parcels to Silo Institute of Love in Sebokeng, in Zone 14 recently.

Silo offers skills development and counselling to those affected by drugs and gender-based violence.

Mokoena said for the past 16 years the organisation has been operating without funding.

“They self-fund their projects from their pension funds and children’s grants,” said Mokoena.

“We make soup for residents and handed over the food parcels,” he said.

“We had mealie meal, cooking oil, sugar, salt and other general basic items.

“The organisation continues to help those who are in need within Sebokeng and surrounding areas,” said Mokoena.
