Tshepiso Mgibanyoni, Hoërskool Vryburger High School Grade 12 learner, has his eyes set on becoming a professional rugby player.

The number six blindside flank admires Makazole Mapimpi.
“I love the mini-tricks, skills and tackles in the game. Honestly, I don’t know what led me to falling in love with rugby, but I grew up loving it,” said Mgibanyoni.
The Sharks supporter dreams of one day playing for the Springboks.
He said after completing matric, he plans to study engineering and obtain a qualification outside sports.
“Soccer is my second favourite sport and holds a special place in my heart,” he said.
“My uncle taught me how to kick the ball at a young age. Every time I play soccer, I think of him,” said Mgibanyoni.
“My drive for success is inspired by my mother. I want to make my mother proud because she has sacrificed so much for me. She is my best friend and my biggest supporter.”
