Youth desk members empower community with safety tips

“We decided to do a door-to-door awareness campaign in the area because we want to ensure the safety of the resident," said Sergeant Style Maome Primrose SAPS spokesperson.

Primrose SAPS Crime Prevention Youth Desk flooded the streets of Sector 2 on March 19 to share prevention of house burglary and safety tips with residents.

“We decided to do a door-to-door awareness campaign because we want to ensure the safety of the resident,” said Sgt Styles Maome, Primrose SAPS spokesperson.

Residents were advised on what action to take in the case of a burglary and pamphlets containing contact numbers and tips to ensure safety were distributed.

The station commander Col Eunice Nzuza thanked the youth desk for hosting the door-to-door campaign.

“We appreciate the youth going out in numbers to assist the community. If we continue working together we can make Primrose safe,” said Nzuza.
