Manyoni is not new to the community of Elsburg. He has been with the station since 2017 as a branch commander.

“I’m humbled and grateful for this opportunity and hope to serve the community well,” said Manyoni.
He has served in the force for 24 years.

“The day I joined in January 1988 was a significant day for me. I was finally going to serve the community, which was something that inspired me to join the police,” said Manyoni.

He passed his training in Hammanskraal and has a national diploma in police admiration. He started his police career at OR Tambo Airport as a patroller.

Manyoni moved to Thokozo in 1991 and was promoted to detective in 1993.

He joined Katlehong in 1996 followed by Eden Park in 1997 and moved to Thokoza in 1998.

Manyoni then moved to Alberton in 2000 and served as group commander followed by Katlehong North in 2012 and later Brakpan in 2016.

He describes his journey in the SAPS as one of constant learning.

“You deal with different people and you learn in every area you serve. You get ups and downs but that never made me forget my reasons for becoming police,” said Manyoni.

“As a detective, I had cases that affected me, such as rape and murder.”

He urged the residents and business community to continue supporting and working with the police.
