Eleven people were injured on the morning of February 3 when the taxi they were travelling in rolled on the N17 near the Rondebult turnoff in Germiston.

ER24 and other services arrived at the scene at around 09:34 to find the taxi and trailer on its side in the middle of the road.

“The passengers were seen seated on the side of the road,” said Russel Meiring from ER24.

“Medics assessed the patients and found that 10 adults and an 11-year-old girl had sustained minor to moderate injuries. Medics treated the patients and later transported them to nearby hospitals for further care.”

The details surrounding this incident are unknown. Local authorities were on the scene.
