Chipfakacha eyes tennis grand stages

Germiston Tennis player dreams of playing against Naomi Osaka.

 

Tadiwanashe Chipfakacha hopes to become one of SA’s top tennis players.

Inspired by Serena Williams and Naomi Osaka, Chipfakacha remains faithful in her dreams.

“The tennis court is my happy place. I find peace in playing tennis.”

Chipfakacha is a member of the Ekurhuleni Tennis School of Excellence (ETSOE) and trains with coach Loyiso

Mantsha at the Germiston Stadium, who is the founder of ETSOE.

“I hope to one day play in the US Open, ATP and other international tournaments, competing against big names.

My biggest highlight so far was winning the Gauteng East Tennis Association tournament.

“The pandemic made it difficult in recent years and tennis requires a determined person. I am a person who is focused on what I want – like my coach.”
