Primrose SAPS back-to-school campaign aims to make learners crime-wise

Primrose SAPS, Ekurhuleni social workers, Ekupholeni representives and the Youth Desk visited the Hawks Academy on February 3 to educate the learners about criminal activities and promote a safer learning environment.

Social worker Xolani Mthiyane from Ekupholeni Victim Empowerment Centre spoke on the dangers of drug use and urged learners not to get into drugs as they have a long-term effect.

Sgt Adam Dikhoba, who ‘adopted’ the school, warned the learners about the dangers of talking on their phones while walking, thus not being aware of their surroundings.

“This is part of our back-to-school campaign. Learners must remain informed about dangers, as crime constantly evolves,” said Primrose SAPS spokesperson Styles Maome.
