“Hlompho is passionate about her work. We wanted her to realise that her hard work is noticed,” Spokesperson Sgt Styles Maome said.

Mohloai was awarded the Best Youth Desk Member of the Year for 2021.

“I feel this award recognises the hard work I have put and that makes me proud,” said Mohloai.

“I have committed to being the agent of positive change in my community because I’m passionate about the youth. Crime and safety is a major issue in our community and being part of the youth desk has allowed me to make an impact and be noticed.”

She joined the youth desk in 2013.

“I wanted to be a part of the solution and not the problem. As the youth desk, we always try to encourage young people to take part in identifying causes of youth violence and crime to collaborate in creating social crime-prevention strategies,” added Mohloai.
