Liverpool Development FC celebrated their year-end function on December 4 when they awarded players with trophies based on performance.

The Mark Fish Foundation joined in the celebration and donated school shoes to the club players.
Liverpool Development chairperson and head coach Lucky Muthelo said the event aimed at celebrating excellence and motivating others to do well next season.
“The awards were handed over to the players according to their positions and performances. They received trophies and certificates,” said Muthelo.
The awards evening kicked off with two matches played by the u-15 and u-17 teams against Young Chelsea.
The u-17 team lost 0-1 to Young Chelsea and the u-15 squad lost in the penalties after a 1-1 draw.
“The foundation has been working with us for some time now. This year they donated school shoes to the players,
“The shoes were received by u-11 and u-13 boys and girls. The foundation also brought joy and smiles to these players’ faces.”
The following players were awarded:
• U-17 defender of the season – Vuyo Madlebe.
• Senior newcomer of the season – Ntiyiso Leshomo.
• U-17 most consistent player of the season – Asakhe Mpini.
• Senior defender of the season – Sandiso Zwane.
• Senior player of the season – Neo Letsoso.
• Most disciplined player – Senzo Mabele.
• Seniors captain in the seniors football season – Nhlanhla Chinhangue.
• U-17 midfielder of the season – Katleho Mohobo.
• U-11 midfielder of the season – Likhona Mbaduli.
• U-11 top goal scorer and players’ player of the season – Toka Sello.
• U-15 player of the season – Karabo Mlangeni.
• Goal of the season – Kabelo Pitso.
• U-17 top goal scorer, senior’s footballer of the season and midfielder of the season for seniors – Thlolo Moletsane.
• Goalkeeper of the season for u-15, u-17 and seniors – Athimna Ramonetha.
