A message from the editor

As a community, we preserved and made our voices heard and took action when needed.

Many have argued that 2021 was tougher than the previous one – I tend to agree.

And despite this, as a community, we persevered, made our voices heard and took action when needed.

We extended helping hands to neighbours in need, spoke out when things were wrong and made our marks in the local government elections.

One of the biggest changes recorded in 2021 was the new leaders at the helm of City of Ekurhuleni.

Although our newsrooms have been inundated with service delivery concerns during 2021, many recently stepped forward to voice the hope that the new year will bring positive change to service delivery.

Many things stayed the same – sanitisers still have a prominent place on our desks and masks are still part of our daily attire.

Much like 2020, we have witnessed and suffered turmoil, hardship and devastation – we all experienced it together.

I will repeat my message from last year – it is in a shared experience where our hope for the future lies. A collective power will always be stronger.

With this being our last edition, we wish our readers and advertisers a blessed and safe holiday season.

Our first edition will be distributed the week ending January 14.
