“We are pleased that residents came out to support the market. The weather had us worried but all went well,” said Rochelle.

The market saw residents from the Rondebult and surrounding areas support the elderly with their homemade goodies.

“We shared the market with friends and community Whatsapp groups because we know the elderly need their support. Most of the elderly’s homemade goods were welcomed and now they can get money for it.

“This market not only provides them the opportunity to make some money but it is also a social day for them to be with other people in a relaxed and safe environment,” said Rochelle.

Handmade treasures were showcased at the market.
