Ramaboka joined the SAPS in 2009 and was appointed as coordinating officer for second-hand goods and liquor in 2016.

He believes education empowers.

“I want to encourage members of the SAPS to empower themselves academically. Let us regain our dignity as men and women in blue and erase the stigma around police officers’ education. Many of us joined the service after graduating,” said Ramaboka.

Ramaboka is studying for his Master’s in policing.

He believes there is always room to grow and improve.

“Success is a prepared act, it was not easy but I finally obtained what I wanted to achieve and I’m still pushing myself to achieve more.”

He plans on bagging a PhD.

Ramaboka joined the police because he was inspired by what the service stands for.

“I was inspired by the mandatory and objectives as well as the goals of the organisation. I like peace and safety in life and that is exactly what the service is all about. “I am very proud to be a man in blue – a man who is willing to serve and protect my communities with confidence, knowledge and understanding.”
