Margaret hosted a cancer charity event at the South African Airways Museum, Rand Airport in Germiston, on October 30.
She offered an awareness talk with a twist.
“Thank you to the museum for willingly donating the use of its beautiful Boeing 747-SP display aircraft to serve as the unique venue,” said Margaret.
The keynote speaker was Prof Carol-Ann Benn of the Breast Care Centre of Excellence and a fellow of the College of Surgeons of South Africa with a special interest in breast disease.
She touched on several issues and encouraged regular check-ups.
She also encouraged people to obtain second opinions and take time in making a decision regarding treatment.
All the proceeds of the day were donated to a cancer research project.
