#IMadeMyMark: IFP candidate promises to tackle services

Which service delivery problem in your ward (area), which hinders the rebuilding of the ward's local economy, will you address first and how?

As part of our role to inform our readers, the GCN publicly invited the ward candidates in the relevant wards to answer one question: Which service delivery problem in your ward (area), which hinders the rebuilding of the ward’s local economy, will you address first and how?

The Inkatha Freedom Party’s candidate responded as follows:
Ward 37 Paul Van Straaten:
“The ongoing lack of service delivery caused chaos for small businesses as well as residents in our ward.
“The IFP will tackle these problems hands-on, knowing that the future of our ward is at stake if things are not fixed. We will take drastic action against Eskom and make sure that the council has adequately educated employees. The time for jobs for pals is over and the gravy train stops here.
“I was born in this ward, stay in this ward and have a business in this ward.
“The situation is shocking. Voters have a chance of changing for a better future. We will make sure services run smoothly and our residents come first.
“We have a zero tolerance on crime and we will see to it that our residents get service delivery, which they pay for.”
