Primrose SAPS with the help of Makause informal settlement community leaders and patrollers arrested a 34-year-old suspect for possession of an unlicensed firearm.
According to corporate communications officer Sgt Styles Maome, the man was arrested at Makause informal settlement after police received a complaint about robberies.

“The night he was apprehended two victims were shot at and they are fighting for their lives in hospital.
“The community leaders mobilised after the shooting and requested the police to investigate. SAPS members found the man in possession of a revolver. “He did not have a licence to possess a firearm. Three cartridges and live ammunition were also found.”
