Alberton SAPS has ensued a manhunt for murder and attempted murder following the death of a 24-year-old from Phumula in Germiston.
According to Capt Manare Ramotshela of Alberton SAPS, five men were sitting in a house when a suspect, wearing a blue work suit, hat and a mask, entered the house.

He reportedly demanded cellphones at gunpoint and explained he was looking for a guy with braids.
“He then shot the 24-year-old victim who was certified dead on scene. One of the victim’s younger brothers, who jumped up in an attempt to defend him and his brother, was also shot and the suspect fled the scene,” Ramotshela said.
“Three people came to assist and took the second victim to a nearby hospital.”
